Step 1: Getting In the Door
Every licensed Minnesota dispensary is required by MN Statute Chapter 342 to verify you’re 21 or older before you can shop. Bring a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID; this happens at the entrance, before you’re able to browse. Your ID does not need to be from Minnesota; any state or federal photo ID works. If you don’t have valid ID on you, staff can’t legally let you shop, regardless of how old you look.
Step 2: Browsing the Menu
Once inside our Mexico-themed showroom, you’ll typically find products organized by category: flower, pre-rolls, vape cartridges, concentrates, edibles, and topicals, each labeled with strain, THC content, and other product details. You’re not expected to already know what you want; staff (often called budtenders) are there to answer questions about potency, strain effects, and what might suit your experience level. We also provide educational literature on cannabis effects and addiction resources.

Step 3: Checkout
Because cannabis remains a Schedule I substance under federal law (21 U.S.C. § 812), cannabis retail in Minnesota is still largely a cash-preferred business. At Coconut Cannabis, we accept cash and debit cards (PIN required). You’ll be asked to confirm your ID again at checkout, in many stores as a final compliance step.
Minnesota sets daily purchase limits at 2 ounces of flower, 8 grams of concentrate, or 800 milligrams of THC in edible form per customer, per day (MN Statute 342.09). These limits are enforced at every licensed retailer in the state.
